It depends on the provanance of the car. At least in feature films, the cars you see totaled, burnt or exploded aren't straight off the showroom. For instance, the the Clooney movie "Michael Clayton" an S-Class gets blown up. That same S-Class was first used in "The Devil Wears Prada" where it had been literally cut in half to accomodate filming the interior backseat scenes. It was subsequently rejoined so it could be blown up.

Kanye West is a racist idiot; I have no desire to see or hear anything he does....

Perhaps they got a discount.
