Lemonade freedom day!

Tomorrow is Lemonade freedom day. I couldn't figure out how to do a link so google it. Basically it is a protest over heavy handed money hungry local bureaucrats requiring kids to get a licence and a permit to have a lemonade stand. I think its awesome and I hope the govt. thugs get the message and back the hell off! Support your local lemonade stand tomorrow!

From recent New Yorker's Shouts and Murmurs "Summer Fun for Boys"

Open a lemonade stand. On the second day, post a sign next to it reading, “CLOSED OWING TO HIGH TAXES AND RED TAPE. THANKS, OBAMACARE!” Then chat up the Fox News crew that instantly appears in your driveway.

If you sell food you need a permit. What's the big deal?

That there are too many nanny regulations, and small businesses and stands should be exempt. And cops should show some discretion. I'd laugh if the cop busting the lemonade stand got rear-ended in their Crown Vic while doing so, end of story.

Its one thing if it involves street vendors. In most of these cases the stands are on private property and the local authorities are just doing a money grab. The government doesn't add any safety, assistance, or any other value to the equation.

But clearly the kid is running a restaurant or store on private property and it needs to be zoned commercial. Clearly.

Lemonade Freedom Day? Someone desperately needs to get a hobby if this is what consumes their thoughts. Absolutely pathetic.

I have to say that the pigs (and sows) in blue in the armpit that's known as the District is more *******ish than most.

I'll betcha the female LE in the clip knows exactly how far to push the envelope.
Fwiw, the LE behavior in the vid seemed pretty restrained to me.
