World's Smallest Political Quiz

This online test Political Quiz may be useful. However I found offering only 3 choices limiting. That is agree - neutral - disagree isn't enough.

I'm asking that a whole bunch of us take this and post our results. No agenda, no gotcha, let's just look.

I suggest we do it differently than the online quiz.

5 answers:

1 = Strongly agree
2 = Somewhat agree
3 = neutral - no strong feelings
4 = Somewhat disagree
5 = Strongly disagree

First 5 questions - this determines Personal Index (PI):
1. Government should not censor speech, press, media, or internet.
2. Military service should be voluntary. There should be no draft.
3. There should be no laws regarding sex for consenting adults.
4. Repeal laws prohibiting adult possession and use of drugs.
5. There should be no National ID card.

- Compute total score for questions, eg. If you strongly agree with all 5 your score is 5 points. Strongly disagree your score is 25 points.

Next 5 questions - this determines Economic Index (EI):
1. End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business.
2. End government barriers to international free trade.
3. Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security.
4. Replace government welfare with private charity.
5. Cut taxes and government spending by 50% or more.

How to convert raw data from above into results. Answer set of 5. Add up the numbers. I get 8. You'll get what you get. Then use this simple formula -

Results = -5 x (score) + 125; for me
PI = (-5x8)+125 = 85 & EI = (-5x10)+125 =75

Final results:

PI/EI = 85/75
---

Let's put up the numbers and see what we get.

Thanks Bob.

Not the best typist.

the formula is

Score = -5 x (score) + 125
-
I did 'drop the ball' but I suppose you coulda taken a guess about what times 8 = 40 & makes all of the calculations work.
-
Why don't you give me your numbers so I can post 'em?

Understanding results.

Libertarian/Statist analysis-

Add the two numbers. 0 is insane statist, 200 is insane libertarian, 100 is middle. Centrist is 70 to 130.

Liberal/Conservative analysis -

Subtract the two numbers. +100 is insane liberal. -100 is insane conservative. 0 is middle. Centrist is -30 to +30.

David,

I'm assuming you gave me PI first and EI second so I put your Lib/Con score at -35.

If I'm wrong just tell me.
