Results of Political Quiz

A number of folks took this QUIZ

It evaluates folks on the Liberal-to-Conservative continuum

& the

Statist-to-Libertarian continuum

Clicking either image brings up a larger graph with more detail.

I then looked at what I'm calling the Deviancy Factor. How far someone is away from the group average. It's the sum of the absolute value of the two graph. A more precise method would use RMS but I checked and this is good enough. Here's the list -

I suppose you'll will have to start calling me Mr. Moderate.

Thus validating my suspicion that everyone perceives themselves as politically moderate...

How obtuse.

1. I doubt that the majority of those who took the quiz thought they were/are moderate, I did not.

2. The quantification is an attempt to step outside of our subjective bias.

I'm disappointed that you elected to unfairly disparage my opinion.

Implicit but undetermined is the bias of the original survey from which these data derive.

In some thread I was prompted (challenged?) to find a quick, useful discriminator of political/social views.

Went to Google, this is first I found. I've got no agenda with it. It is a libertarian site so I suspect the questions are designed to make liberatrianism look good.

But we all walked in at an equal exposure to it took the 3 to 6 minutes, I assume were comfortable with the results & I just chewed on them a bit.

I think for a quick, painless process it helps reveal perspectives about the participants.

Really your just unhappy that your scores are so close to mine.

Hmmm. There are more scores in the '1.2' range.

Also, some drastic differances..I expect this is normal though.

Biased sampling produces biased results.

I still like this test, even if it takes a bit longer.

Have to agree...I sat out the questions thread because I took a look and realized the questions were far too broad, too few, and also biased, for kicks I did it and came out libertarian and conservative...don't think that is me.

This is a good one. Just took it and came out -1 left and -3.5 libertarian, seems pretty accurate IMO.
