Livescribe?

Anyone here use a Livescribe pen? If so, how do you like it? Considering getting one as a birthday present for taking notes at school . Chemistry colleague has some students using them and she thinks they're great.

I had to search it to see what you were talking about. Thanks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livescribe

The company website seemed more interested in what it could learn about me than in what it could teach me so I posted wikipedia.

I never got much out of recording lectures because there is no time to listen to the recordings. A little preparation for lecture is way better than a lot of recording.

The technology sounds very worthwhile for correlating material in meetings, transactions, inspections, etc.

That's why the livescribe pen seems so useful. You take notes during a lecture and the pen records the lecture. Later, when you click on the written notes, the pen will replay the portion of the lecture associated with those notes so if you are confused, you can rehear the lecture as you review your notes. Seems like a useful tool in clarifying those parts of a course which seem unclear.
