R.I.P. kknudson

I just came across 2 posts from automator, a close friend of Kevin Knudson making us aware of his unexpected passing. I emailed automator asking if he could forward an obituary, where to send condolences to the family, and if any charities have been set up in his memory. He has mentioned that they will be wanting to sell his 55,000 original miles 500SL, so hopefully we can find a good home for it.

He was a great contribution and character in open discussion. You will be missed, Kevin.

All,
Thanks for the kind words. Kevin really was a great guy. I hate to rank my friends, but can honestly say he was my best friend.
Sorry that I haven't been back to check in here sooner. Kevin's widow has a lot to deal with right now. She has not made any plans for a memorial at this time. He was cremated, and she intends to plan a memorial "some time". Right now she is trying to figure out how to pay the bills. She lost her job about a month before Kevin passed away.
The cause of death seems to be an aortic aneurysm. So it was quick and it is beleived that he died in his sleep. Probably the way all of us would like to go, but very tough on those left behind.
Selling the car would be a big help to Kevin's wife. If anyone has any ideas to help sell the car, or if I can answer any questions, please let me know.

Thanks.
Jim
