BillyBob Wants to Kill the Pretty Girls Thread

Our current "copyright" enforcer hasn't yet officially moved his crusade to the thread, but isn't it just a matter of time? ;)

Save the Thread From BillyBob

It would be like killing Mom, apple pie and strip clubs...

Honestly I'm simply using the numerous examples of violation of the pathetically written, subjectively interpreted, and disparately applied TOU Copy Right Enhanced Enforcement Policy Directive/Notice that was just recently used to censor the speech of another forum poster.

It is clear that some violations of the TOU are permitted and some are not, how that comes to be is completely unknown based on the apparent history of selective enforcement. Maybe it's only enforced when people with favorite moderators report it, maybe it's enforced only when confidential informants report it, maybe it's only enforced when confidential informants and favorite moderators disagree with certain forum members?

It's clear that there are numerous times where moderators participate in a thread wherein the TOU violations occur, maybe the mere fact the violation occurs and is known is insufficient to compel enforcement? Maybe it's only when someone elects to be offended by something they chose to read and communicates such offence to the moderator it rises to a violation?

I do find it very amusing that some of the most virulent and demanding of “forum law and order” characters not only regularly violate this ENHANCED ENFORCEMENT TOU provision but they also seem to enjoy immunity from doing so! That in the process it exposes some hypocrisy is priceless.

It’s also just another example of the unintended consequences of piss poor rule making.

Specifically, which moderator is the most guilty of this subjectivity/dereliction of duty? Would you mind citing specific examples?

. . . and yet it's not so bad or "piss poor" to make it intolerable for you. :D

I'm working under the PaulC "merely illustrating" personal exemption finding!

PaulC 10-13-2011 05:38 PM

Apparently a relatively generic smear of the character of our moderators allows Billybob to fly under the infraction radar. Clever fellow.

That only applies if the original post contains an image of a religious artifact or icon.

Unlike you I have no favorite moderator nor am I privileged to the machinations of the moderator troika or the decisions of individual moderators; so I can't offer an informed opinion as to anyone’s degree of guilt or lack thereof.

As to the overall subject of disparity I would simply compare the alleged violation by sjh an few days ago and any of the alleged violation of the same terms and conditions I have publicly noted with respect to postings you have made as well as others. Certainly I have no objection to you doing a search and finding the specific examples if you'd like.

And hey you ducked my challenge to waive any privacy claim and allow moderators to reveal the identity of the confidential informant who complained to the moderators the he was offended by the posting of copy righted material in violation of the TOU when sjh did it, was that you?

Ducking? Is that as strenuous an action as your sideslip by my request to name names in regard to your claim of bad moderation?

Oh, and who is my favorite moderator? Name a name.

It was you, wasn't it? Come on, you've admitted in the past you tell on others.

I've explained I don't know deliberative participation of each moderator so how could I answer your specific original request:

I don't know who your favorite moderator is, why don't you tell me, you where the one to bring up the "favorite moderator" concept to which I earlier responded it "is a concept unknown and foreign to me"

You edited this - what did you water down?

Along with some very minor enhancements for accuracy, I removed the picture I had included of you and your favorite moderator!

Can't you just fess up? Was it was you who complained about sjh's post? Would you prefer to let moderators reveal it?

Quite frankly, sjh's posts were so tedious to read that I usually just didn't bother to do so.

That wasn't an explanation - It was an evasion.

Are you, or are you not indicating the proximity of specific moderators to posts/threads containing TOU violations in which the offending member was not cited? Are you, or are you not implying that those moderators were derelict in their duty, or exhibiting some form of favoritism or other bias when the offender was not cited?
