Burma to allow labor unions.........
BBC News - Burma law to allow labour unions and strikes
Burma's allowing organized labor unions. Republicans trying to abolish organized labor in the USA. Not hard to see the republican vision for this country's labour force. |

Seriously, it looks as if Burma understands what democracy is about.

Moving the country out from under decades of dictatorship, while simultaneously overhauling a completely dysfunctional economy, in an incredibly complex landscape that includes dozens of armed groups, all under some of the toughest economic sanctions anywhere in the world-seems ambitious to me.
There is no doubt the old Myanamar is dissapearing; the question is who will shape what's coming next. Those who denie the importance of what's happening are, quite frankly, making themselves irrelevant. *Note: The country is no longer called Burma.
