I too try to avoid that place. A couple of times a year I succumb.

Most their products never tasted like food to me. Worse of the quick food chains from my perspective or very close to the bottom. I used them ocassionaly when traveling and wanted a quickstop if there is no other chain store around.

I actually used to work there in high school and the stuff we served then actually still tasted like food. Now not so much.

Boy could I eat a $.99 McDouble right about now. :eek::D

When was that? 1955?

I enjoy the scrambled eggs & sausage. Their coffee is very good. Though I don't eat it, Qtr Pounder with cheese is rated as a pretty good burger in terms of calories and fat, compared to the otheres.

Do you know how they make their burger patties there? They take beef scraps, grind it up to the right texture, separate out the fat, sanitize it, reintroduce the fat to where it's a fixed level, add filler, gums, flavoring, coloring right up to the point where it's still legal to call it "all beef," reshape it, cook it, freeze it, send it to the store where they reheat it.

We have a "factory" in Northern Victoria Australia that makes patties for McD. They export them world wide.

Old broken down "chopper" dairy cows go in one end.

The only products that come out are;

Skins that go to Germany for eventual use by BMW for their seats.

Fertilizer,

Hamburger patties.

To maximize profitability they minimize the fertilizer production & so maximize the pattie production.

you can figure the significance of this.

that place usually gives me the Mcgurgles, followed by the Mc*****s.

I've always called it McTardly's, because they prided themselves on "helping" a certain type of individual by hiring them.

The Clk Man 10-17-2011 11:44 AM

Dave Chappell calls them Mac Arnolds. :D
