The cars are starting to go to good homes
The weekend included both happy and sad moments.
I have a commitment to buy one of the 190D cars and a minimum deposit changed hands. Sadly someone came up to buy the 220D and the damn key was missing from the ignition!!!! I left the keys in all those cars so I could move them, no one could steal them, but it just makes it easier when the keys are there, obviously. Despite best efforts and removal of the instrument panel, it was impossible for the 115 steering lock to be completely removed, so the car is in limbo temporarily. If someone can give me exacting details on what to do next, I'll take 4 hours off work and go do it to ensure it's unlocked for the next guy. I also have a box with every MB key i ever owned that didn't go with a vehicle, so I'll try those soon as well. I'm sorry the car couldn't be sold to the guy who wanted it. If I can find a way to make it up, I would. Doing my best to accommodate. This isn't strictly about money, or I'd call a scrap dealer, I want the cars to go to users, on this forum, and I hope they all will. I have decided to advertise outsoide the forum as well, just in case we get close to my self-imposed deadline and nothing has moved. I expect one out soon, followed by the others. Off to good homes and away from boneyards.
