They need to start giving tickets to handicapped parking sticker owners who have them hanging from their rear view mirror... a huge view obstructing problem.
It says right ON IT.... only for use when vehicle is not moving....

Quite a few states get along with just a rear plate. We have front plates in my state, but we also have a provision in the law (which I like very much) that the front plate need not be displayed on vehicles not factory equipped to display a front plate. This would have applied to my old Lincoln (Florida car), but when a PO took it to Cali he added an aftermarket plate bracket. I didn't notice it wasn't factory until I realized that while mine was centered, the factory ones are offset to the right side on that car.

Good thing they don't enforce that one. My wife would have been sent up the river a long time ago.

Before the automobile, transportation was provided by horses or horse and buggies. Neither had license plates. Horsemen and horsewomen didn't need "licenses" to saddle up and ride. Along comes the automobile and someone or someones decided we need licensing and a new multi zillion dollar industry was born called "auto insurance". With all that licensing and insurance we also bought ourselves 35 - 50,000 deaths per year caused by traffic related accidents. Let's go back to simpler times.

Ok, but you get to shovel the "exhaust".

Sorry Husky man, you have not checked the important facts..
First, those horses had Brands on them... the same as license plates but permanent.. Second... the Deaths per 100,000 miles traveled is twice as high for horse drawn vehicles as it is for our cars.... and if you calculate ( the figures are available ) the amount of **** and urine which was being deposited in NY City in a DAY you will realize that our cars are God Sent... Ever seen an airconditioned Horse ?

There was a heat wave in 1911 in NYC , 5000 horses died in one day, and trucks took over

What's your death rate per 100,000 mile source? One thing for sure, a horse can't speed like a bat out of hades through a school zone or speed through my neighborhood like the soccer moms I see everyday. Last night, a jerk in an SUV tailgated me so closely I thought he was trying to mount the 560SEL from the rear. Perhaps he thought he was a horse.

Cars don't get spooked by a shadow and take off at a gallop. Horses don't come with seatbelts, airbags, or crumple zones.

It's funny, I read an article the other day that mentioned that people who drive cars that are rated as "safe", i.e. Mercedes, Volvo, Saab, etc tended to drive faster and more recklessly because they felt the car's safety features would protect them. Morons.
