Can't say the first thing is true, the second thing is just bizarre. Anyway, guess those clowns are not taught to THINK before they harass. If the first was true and it was my grandma, d/k what I'd do, but it wouldn't have been pretty.

I flew from SFO last week to Los Angeles and these TSA idiots made me LATE! What a waste. This exact thing is how come I always drive anywhere, and not fly, only once and this tie since 9/11 andit keeps getting worse and more invasive. and ran up over 40,000 mioes on my cars in '09--10 and this year over 14,000 on the Outback and over 9,000 on the E 420 since I got it on July 27th. I hate going to airports and when I came back from Norway in the week before 9/11, SINCE then I only went to airports 2x, first in 2008 to Atlanta.

We are so quick to bow to political correctness and give away all our freedoms.

Just strip search every 18-50 year old swarthy, sweating, nervous male mideast looking male passenger and let the rest of people go.

Not only do they strip search an elderly woman but they have the audacity to record her humiliation on video. This is outrageous and several TSA workers and officials need to be sent to prison for this.

This is supposed to be America, not the Soviet Union and this is at least the fifth TSA strip search of a passenger this year including the strip search of Shoshana Hebshi in Detroit on September 11th. In that incident the agent moved her away from the toilet during the strip search so the video would not capture her image completely while she was naked.

Now they are inflicting injury during these violations to the point that the victim is left bleeding. This is inexcusable and Congress must prosecute the TSA management responsible for this in order to prevent such abuses in the future.

How extreme must these TSA travesties become before Congress demands that this be stopped? This is the same agency that has had 62 screeners arrested for serious crimes, including murder and 10 screeners charged with child sex crimes. This agency is out of control and needs to be abolished.

It’s time to abolish the TSA, and require every passenger to be armed. Any terrorist stupid enough to board a plane should be shot by the passengers, and no further investigation done. This is the only solution that will end the terrorism conducted by our government in trying to suppress the right of citizens to travel. The media will create any story they can possibly find to insult the TSA as it provides good reading.

I'm absolutely sure that both of those stories are untrue in many aspects.

It does make good reading, however, and reinforces your opinion as the TSA being rude and inconsiderate.

I do not understand how people think abolishing the TSA will change anything. There has to be security at the airport or no one will fly. As far as I am concerned it does not matter what agency is in charge of the security or what the badge on the uniform says. If you want to change the security the policies have to be changed and you have top be willing to pay for qualified agents. I personally do not see any difference between the people who were running security prior to 9/11 as opposed to now.

Let's see, I need to travel from point A to point B. My choices are as follows:

A. Travel by public airline with terminals located at a public airport. The skyhops are mysteriously missing and therefore are no longer assisting passengers with baggage so I have to lug my own luggage into the terminal. My ride can no longer assist in helping me with my bags because there is a "No vehicle left unattended" sign posted in front of the terminal. I have to place TSA friendly locks on each and every bag which means once the bag leaves my hands any baggage handler will have easy access.

Now, for the heavy decision. Submit to a back scatter X-ray which pounds my body with cancer causing Xrays or perhaps I have a medical device which prohibits me from being Xrayed. The other option is to submit to a private strip search AKA "Bend over and spread 'em" routine. I notice everyone from five year old children to eighty year old grandmothers being herded into the strip search room. All of this is reminiscent of the Nazis herding Jews into a room and telling them to remove all jewelry and clothing. For their own good, of course.

or I could choose the following option;

B. Take my own car of which I still maintain some control over, i.e. I can l lock the doors and lock my suitcase while traveling. Of course, this could all change if the powers that be choose to implement "Checkpoint Charlie" at every state border crossing where every traveler will undergo the same interrogation, strip searches and baggage searches all in the name of national security. Take off your clothes and line up against the wall. All in the name of 'public safety'.

The terrorists have won.......

Something smells about this story. While I am willing to believe that TSA does go overboard in a case or two here and there like in any large organization, her claim that these guys pull down her panties and inspected her aged vagina seems a little far fetched to the point of disbelief. I think this is going to turn out to be another right wing hoax.

Might I suggest you not fly at all. After all, if you think the backscatter thing will give you cancer, you probably won't want to get into anything that will take you that high up and expose you to even more radiation. Probably safe to fly in a single engine Cesna but the commercial jets are going to be a problem for worry warts like you.

You really know how to write the drama. Is that your vocation? Writing soap operas? Paints a very good picture by tossing in Nazis.

Effects of radiation are cumulative -- tossing in more in addition to the flight isn't good.

True however the amount mentioned was so minute that unless you were going thru checkpoints several times a day, I don't think it will be significant. A whiff of 2nd hand smoke, say at an outdoor concert, once in a while isn't going to concern me. Living with a woman who smokes inside the house might be a different story.

Obviously, you must think an Ob-Gyn for a straight man is heaven. Getting to feel up women all day long. I'm sure it is fun the first time or two but believe me, when it becomes your "day in day out" routine, it gets old fast. I like to fish but if I have to make a living on that, it might not be as fun regardless of what I say to you when you charter my boat.
