United States of Africa ??? Muammar Gaddafi’s downfall

Libyan war: Just another bailout for the banking class :: www.uruknet.info :: informazione dal medio oriente :: information from middle east :: [vs-1]

Quote:
Four days before President Obama made the unilateral decision for war with Libya, under the innocuous banner of a humanitarian NATO action to prevent civilian deaths, the African Union met in Ethiopia to discuss Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi’s proposal to unite the African continent with Arab states in a confederation called the United States of Africa. [1] Both our president and the lapdog U.S. press failed to inform the American people why this just might be of interest to them.

Gaddafi’s plan calls for a common African currency. The Libyan dinar would become the African dinar with more than one billion people and many of the top oil producing countries using it. Libya, with 143.8 tons of gold worth $6.5 billion [2] and the world’s ninth ranked oil reserves, just may have the resources to pull this off.
Anybody ever hear anything about this? I thought there must be big money behind the uprisings in Africa this past year but this is the first I heard of this.

Interesting. I was thinking this was legitimate until I went to the home page and saw an article titled "Bradley Manning Deserves a Medal". That reduces my confidence that this source is relaible. All Bradley Manning deserves is a short trip downwards with a rope around his neck...

That is a completely different story. This article has links and/or sources cited. I'll look at them when I have time but I'm on the run now.

I know that central banking is a huge issue with waging war. Money laundering is now the norm instead of exception. We little guys are not part of this world but pay the consequences.

I'll look again at the story, the premise is compelling...

What do you mean? I want to know.

Sounds like an awfully lofty goal but I can see the threat if it gained traction.

I have a buddy from Nigeria. I'm gonna run the whole thing past him when I get a picture of the story.

It's very unfortunate that reports of such things don't surprise me in the least. Statesman of ALL political parties are involved with such behind the scenes crap all too often.

It's REALLY sad when you see people so blinded by political ideology that they can't admit that their own favorite guy would be involved in such folderol.

Given the ferocity of the rebellion itself, I would say Mr. Q Daffy's problems were not the result of any banking conspiracy.

The idea that africa which is comprised of peoples who basically despise each other and will butcher each other at a moments notice (think Europe from the fall of Rome to the end of WWII) will be able to unite and subject themselves to the leadership of just one megalomaiacle sociopath is ludicrous in the extreme.

I had read that there was an oil ministry and a central bank set up in Lybia before the first shot was fired. Oil is most certainly the reason for Quadaffi's (sp) ousting. If we had to buy their oil with a gold backed currency instead of worthless paper off our printing presses it would have catalyzed a MASSIVE shift of wealth away from the western world.

I think this is on point. I look forward to getting back to this story.

It is a scary place and I wonder why. When the gap between the haves and the have-nots is so extreme it seems that atrocity goes with the scenery. I guess that the idea of uniting was just a "paper world" idea amoungst the haves and ignored the chattel and useless eaters.

Every report of war for humanitarian causes is subject to question. Throughout history it has been a rare or nonexistent occurrence. Perhaps subject to ridicule. Humanitarian issues are used to rally the poor masses to fight the battles of the elite. On the other hand every war costs lots of money and financing wars is big business.

Conspiracy has become a non-word on the Internet. I equate its use to non-thinking.

Does this link to a story about a conspiracy?
