That was rough. :(

The driver was listening to the opening theme to Rozen Maiden...interesting.

Two Notes-
1. Talk about courtesy! When that one driver gets out of the car just as the water hits he actually goes back to close the door!
2. The slow moving currents certainly gave a lot more time for people to get out of their grounds and attempt to get to the top of a building or hill etc. At least one car looks like the window had been smashed open from the inside. Those fast moving currents were terrifying!

Crazy ride. Amazing it stayed afloat for so long. Try that in an old Lincoln.

6 months later the damaged areas look better than New Orleans 2+ years after the hurricane.

Very scary. The driver was very calm during the whole thing.

Sad but true.

Hard to imagine that. The thing that seemed odd to me was that he left the wipers, though.

That impact at the end seemed pretty significant, too.

Wow.
Imagine the energy involved in moving all that water; as well as moving all the debris, etc.
It took seconds to go from driving down the road, to everything being under water in seconds.
It sounds trite, but the expression "don't mess with mother nature" really seems accurate in that clip.

One thing that intrigues me about tsunami (and storm surge) is the sediments and debris have got to dramatically increase viscosity. So as it moves it must either slow down or increase in heat, right?

it makes you wonder if you would try to ride it out or take your chances running to a building.... not much time to decide.

Amazing stuff. I guess there are worse natural disasters than Tsunamis, maybe super volcanoes and/or giant asteroid strikes.
