Is it just me? (Questionable Humor)

(Disclaimer: I thought about posting this in the joke thread for input, but then thought the better of it for two reasons. One, the jokes in the joke thread ARE funny, and two, I really wanted some feeback and it would just get lost in there.)


So a co-worker tells me this joke:

Little Red Riding Hood goes into the forest and the Big Bad Wolf finds her and rapes her. When he's finished, she says, "Uh, uh, I'm going to tell my grandmother that you raped me three times."

The Big Bad Wolf says, "What? It was only once!"

Little Red Riding Hood replies, "You mean you're through?"

Now, I'm no prude. I've heard -- and told -- some pretty dirty jokes in my time (including some Little Red Riding Hood jokes). But at least they were funny.

But I'm having trouble with finding the "humor" in that joke. I think part of what bothers me is that it revolves around rape, which is offensive, and raping a little girl, which is even more so.

But is it just me? Is that joke really funny?

I just wanted some kind of confirmation that I hadn't gotten overly sensitive somehow. If everyone else thought it was funny I'd be worried, but given the general disdain I can see that my sense of humor is still intact.

I think I saw a cartoon in Hustler about this once. A brute and a girl were sitting behind a bush smoking cigarettes and she says "How long have you been a rapist?".

Sure, it is a rather naughty one but oh well. I'm ok with it.

Somehow I cant find any humor in anyone laughing about genocide of an entire race of people.

However the Op thinks this is funny, and therefore identfies himself as being bigoted.

I agree, but at least it's an attempt (however misguided) at humor.

Even worse is when the putative leader of a country finds nothing funny in -- and seriously desires -- the destruction of an entire race of people.

Doesnt offend me really, its just words, but I dont find it at all funny or interesting, just kinda dumb.
