diesel fuel for 3.37

Yesterday and the day before I was in northern indiana and saw numerous places with fuel at the lowest prices I have seen for a while.

This is good since I have read that our oil companies are selling fuel for export at unprecedented levels now.

I was in Maysville, Ky not too long ago and saw diesel for around $3.40. That was the lowest I have seen it in awhile.

The oil companies are all about maximizing profits for the shareholders. They could care less who the customers are.

In pursuit of this goal they have bribed and paid off (through lobbyists and
"campaign contributions") politicians at most levels of government, and as a result, they have happily been part and parcel of the travesty of turning the democracy this country was supposed to be, into a plutocracy, where the public interest is shunned in favor of utterly unaccountable corporate greed.

I filled my E55 with premium last night, and it was $3.67 a gallon.

Diesel was like $3.89... O_O

Filled up with $2.79 regular, yesterday at the grocery store gas station.

Funny to think this is cheaper now; when 5 years ago I would have thought such prices would bankrupt Americans.

That is all part of the strategy. But it IS bankrupting Americans! When it was over $3 a gallon just last fall people were in an uproar. Now if it gets down to $3.20 for premium most will be ecstatic! People seem to forget fuel went up over $1 in a year. I have receipts for December @ $3.19. Premium hit $4.29 up here a year later, and this is a fuel depot city!
