Indeed. Luckily there is a place here in Carson that sells a pretty close replica.

When I ventured up that way I was advised to skirt philly--and also bypass the penncel -vanniea turnpike.

I'm not sure about clk man's area, but a truly good Philly cheesesteak is hard to find...but oh-so-worth it when you do!

I know. I went out for one yesterday and the place that sells good ones was closed. I ended up with IHOP's version, which while reasonably tasty is way off in terms of authenticity.
