Lets declare for the new year no more BC bashing

I am getting pretty sick of people hammering BC for his previous actions as a Mod.

Lets declare a moratorium on him for the new year!

Have people been bashing BC?

Personal attacks on any member is a violation of the rules, whether or not they were a moderator.

Why hasn't anyone reported the offending posts?

Report these posts, and the current mods will take care of it.

Good idea, but how about BC declare moratorium on his bad attitude towards others for a start? Most of the bashing is generated after his remarks towards other members so it would be a good first step for him to stop first....

One of the Mods gave BC a one point infraction for one of his posts.

It's a fine line between attacking a person and the person's opinions. Here's how the rule reads:

""You're wrong" is not a personal attack; "You're wrong because you are an idiot" is an example of a personal attack. Moderator's judgment will apply."

Posting 'friendliness'

I had a run-in with BC before but it has long been forgotten. See my signature.

I have read a lot of his responses, either in DD or OD that his posts are quite abrasive sometimes. So it is not a matter of bashing by others, it is just of matter of to be posting friendly. It is OK to agree to disagree.

Nah........let 'em hammer away. It's been one year now...........

I'd just like one of them...........one time..........to show an infraction that they received that was clearly within the bounds of the TOU.

A moderator must make judgment calls all the time, and most members don't like the judgment call and take it personally. Usually they get over it and understand that infractions are used to keep the forum under control. Hell, I got two recently myself. I didn't agree with one of them, but, I accept it as part and parcel of the forum. I'm certainly not going to bash the current moderators on the forum regarding it.

Some never get over it. These people are ignorant and will carry a vendetta for life.

So be it.

People have trouble letting go of the past.

I don't know if they really enjoy living in it, but it all-too-often seems that way.

How long did we put up with "bush stole the election" and the current trend of blaming everything on bush?

IMHO, it's better to learn from the past, live in the present and plan for the future, but to each their own.

Life is to short to carry grudges. Besides that they do the carrier of them little good. Certainly nonproductive and left unresolved solve nothing.

Find a way to rationalise them away if possible. Many things just occur in the heat of the moment anyways. Plus are of no great signifigance either..

Now if the wife has cleared out without notice or apparent reason.Cleaning out all the bank accounts totally as well in the process etc.

Then I understand there may be some animosity or grudge that is hard to get past. Even that type of thing you have to get by or it will color your life in an unhealthy way.

To start with nobody really wants to listen to the details of it.
They intuitivly know there are usually two sides to a story and are not going to get both of them.

Allegedly Contentious Objection/Interpretation

DISCLAIMER: Applies to No One Posting/Replying above
