Can I find out how to replace brake booster?

A close friend of mine here named cmitch, told me that money spent on a 99 era ML is money wasted. Have you had the shifter problem that costs $3000 to fix yet?

I hadn't heard of the shifter problem. I worked on a few ML's over the summer and I can say I really wasn't impressed. I just don't get the SUV that has less off road capability than my 300D. This goes for the Porsche Cayenne (ABOMINATION!!), BMW X-Series (not quite as bad as the Cayenne, but still an abomination), or the ML, or various other mall terrain vehicles. What's the appeal?

My friend said it had something to do with a $.50 pin coming out of place. I saw one with the same problem at my indy's shop last year.
