The chance of copy cat arson springing up if too much publicity was given. Attention seeking behaviour can be exciting even if the individuals know they will not be identified.

Sounds counterproductive I know. It is almost like the subconcious is aware they might get caught. The same fundemental reasons that generally suicides are not in the obituaries etc as such..

Much may depend on the medias feeling of responsibility when reporting. There is a schizim between believers of what and how certain news material should be published.

Just remember that the guy is a SUSPECT, not a criminal, until a jury says otherwise. If he's guilty, how about requiring him to buy one house per year in Detroit, and not leave Detroit for life?

I wonder how many German cars he lit up?
