Cleaning up garage

I have been cleaning my garage. I am junking old engine blocks and other worthless things, and organizing what is worth keeping. I got a second car into my basement garage yesterday for the first time in a decade at least.

Feels good!

Good for you, Tom! I haven't been able to park a car in my garage for 5+ years now.

Now, did you get to the doc yet?

Try a moving! It's amazing how much, as Carlin would put it, "stuff" you have that you will never use and likely forgot that you had it or where it came from. Getting rid of it was truly theraputic.

Getting started at it is usually half the battle. It is also on my list of things to get to.

Sometimes it occurs to me that I am afraid I might not die before getting to everything on the seeming endless list. That would amount to a real punishment.

I have no ideal how some individuals on farms get all caught up. Suspect like myself the majority never do. Since even on one acre it can be bad enough for me. This upcomiong year I would like to get a lot of items on the house attended to. The garage will just have to wait.

Last week I listed all my old Caddy parts for sale on the Caddy forum. I got a request for pictures of my 52 caddy stick conversion kit from a fellow in Australia who is building a replica of the 1950 Briggs Cunningham Le Mans coupe which finished 10th beating all sorts of exotic cars including Ferraris and so forth.

I always wanted to do the same thing so I am very excited at the thought of selling my stuff and helping to make it happen.

Yesterday I dragged out the parts and cleaned them up and sprayed them iron gray. Today I am going to take pics and post them for him.

I will also take pics of the exhaust manifolds from the early 123 240ds for my buddy Raptelan here.
