$369. You're kidding, right?

$369 that is the amount that Joe Biden claims on his tax return for charitable contributions. $369 I bet there are times he spends that much on diner.
The President did better at 1%.

Just another illustration of liberal hypocrisy--they want to spend all your money on charities, and welfare, but not much when it comes from their own pockets.

More of the same old, same old--Other Peoples' Money.

Can any of you defend this?

Yes, it is the liberal version of the dilemma for many so-called Conservatives who preach family values while having serial affairs.

The $369 is from a 2008 report, right?

In 2009, the Bidens charitable contribution was $4,820.00

In 2010, the Bidens contributed $5,350 to charity.

Yeah, a crackpot righty pal of mine forwarded me that same email. As usual, the information it contains is suspect at best.

USA Today broke it down. In 2007, the Obamas gave more than $240,000 to charity, about 5.7 percent of their income. The Bidens gave an average of $369 to charity a year for the decade before he moved to the Naval Observatory - about 0.3 percent of their income. Back in 1997, then veep Al Gore and his then wife Tipper gave $353.

Since becoming veep, Biden hasn’t become much more generous. In 2010, he gave $5,350, about 1.4 percent of income. That same year, Romney gave some $3 million. The national average is about three percent.

Wealthy charitable contributions, such as those from former VP Cheney and Mr. Romney, are admirable, but not without considerable benefit to the donors.

Come on MS! What more can you expect out of a loud, foot in his mouth liberal?

Let's eliminate ALL tax deductions, make the rate the same for every tax payer with nothing complicated enough to require more than a one page tax form, get rid of 98% of the IRS, and THEN see how much anybody is contributing to charity!

Hey -- Leave Joe Biden alone.

I parked his car for almost 2 full years and guess what --

HE NEVER TIPPED. He never tipped anyone. That includes parking a car on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and any other big day. I know that when I parked Bill Roth's car, he always tipped, no matter what, at least $5.00 and that was good money in the early to mid 1980's. (think of Roth IRA). Not suggesting a tip is required but I guess all of his money is going to charity ... I think the membership fees where I used to park cars while working my way thru college was rather hefty, e.g., $25K just to be a member of some of these places. I guess he got his membership for free.

I see Romney's given around $4 million to the Mormon church over the last few years. This is a good thing? Mormons have been actively involved in deny the basic right to marry in many states. Is that a 'charitable' thing to do?

Yeah, most churches tend to drag a bit. They even lagged behind civil rights a bit. Black peeps couldn't hold priesthood until ~1980 or so.

If he believes in the cause, he is certainly free to donate to it. How much has Biden donated to his Church? Does he have a Church? Does he believe in what his Church stands for?

Do you care to specify WHICH Church did this? I know that ALL Churches did not.

Hmm..... Why does this not surprise me. Nothing beats first hand, reliable information.
