Now that's an occupation

Topless protesters detained at Davos forum - Yahoo! Finance

Now that's an occupation

It's an interesting Henry Higgins dilemma - if you give me something then take it away, am I worse off than if you didn't give it to me in the first place? If my job is outsourced and I'm worse off than when I started the job, isn't that more my fault than my employer's? I'm not being facetious, I'm trying to make sense of this.

It's amazing how you can get 100 people together and they won't agree on very much but it's likely they'll agree that a diamond is worth more than a cup of water. Aren't the rich only rich because everyone else says so?

I look at it this way. Your fault, my fault, nobody's fault, it doesn't matter. Fix the issue then go worry about who to blame. It's not Wal*Mart's fault for building next to me and selling things cheaper than I can buy them for. It's my fault if I fail to adapt and overcome the problem. If I am a steel worker and the steel mill closes, I don't care whose fault it is. Either I find another vocation, move to the job or I die. It is that simple. If I cannot adapt, it is not the company's fault. It was a business decision to move where someone can do it better and/or cheaper than me. The dinosaur failed to adapt to changing conditions so the more adaptable species survived and they don't. NOBODY owes you a thing in this world. You want to live, prove you are worthy and adapt to the change. That or go and die. The company had a need for you yesterday. Today, they don't need you so they don't hire you. They don't give you a job with a guarantee that it will be there tomorrow. After all, did you swear that you will be there till death do you part? If a better opportunity comes up, do you pass it up to stay with the company for it's betterment at your expense? I don't. Therefore, if a better opportunity for them comes up, what right have I to expect them to pass on it for my betterment at their expense? You owe me nothing and I owe you nothing. We are together TODAY because we have a common goal. When that goal is no more, you go your way and I go mine.

Depends. In lost in a desert, I'd take that cup of water over the diamond.

I would say it is quantifiable from the standpoint that when their possessions are added up, they have more than you.

Not into hairy apes like you are. Maybe that is why you like men better. Or perhaps you like men with Moobs?
