If it's a 3rd row seat euro wagon in good condition, ok miles, no cosmetic/mechanical issues, no collision or rust isues, and it comes in a color you like and all books and records, then trade for it.
It's perhaps the best looking wagon that's ever been created, in the history of wagons, though the w124 is right behind. Though I think your comments are worthless to us without PICTURES (of both the cars in question)

I like the wagons more than the coupes so it would be an easy choice for me.

Coupes are rarer and worth more on the market, but aside from having absolutely no other info that's about all I can say. Condition = everything.

Coupes are only worth big money if they're in excellent condition. Average ones go for only a bit more than the average sedans. That is not the same story with wagons, as an average example can bring alot more than sedans. So, if you have an average coupe and trading for an average wagon, you're getting the better deal.
This is of course speaking very generally, assuming all other things being equal.

Hmm, at least around here it seems as though the coupes are usually in better shape than most of the wagons I see and thats prob why I'm under the impression they command a bit more but that just proves even more that condition is the most important factor...

Screw the trade. Buy the wagon and keep both. As a wagon owner I'd love to have a coupe to round out the fleet, but no way I'd get rid of the wagon for one.
