February roll-call.

Howdy All,
January flew by, now how fast will the shortest month go by even with an extra day? Will anybody out there have time to do anything? I get to work 7 days a week for a while (July?).

Still here.

The end of Junuary as they're calling it here. 62* today, cruised top down in the 500SL.

Sold my first Jeep of the "winter" this year as well. This time last year I had sold more than 10 and the temperature was about -10.

Present.

Doing a little better each day with the expected emotional setbacks that seemingly come out of nowhere. Just been trying to keep my dad busy. He and my sister have been sorting through my mother's stuff. Anything with any sentimental value will go up for grabs to the family and everything else is (and has been) going to Goodwill. There were boxes and boxes of clothing with the tags still on them. It seems to be therapeutic for him.

Kind of here but also going home to England for a quick visit tomorrow - traveling the stress free way - by train!

Still here! Hands very full. Keeping on top of Grannys health. Let's not even talking about the health of The Fleet. But I'm finally getting my shop in order. It's going to be a very busy summer between getting all my farm work done and maximizing my time to work on the cars.

It's been like this for WEEKS, and we usually have a Feb. warm up. I love it, but don't love spending the winter watering trees. Look for an AZ fire season like you read about in the newspaper along about July. There won't be much grass either, so my hay bills will skyrocket. Oh goody!

We've had great Winter weather as well. I've done about 25 hours of cross country flying just since Christmas. I need another 25 for my instrument and commercial ratings.

Indeed train to Rotterdam => Brussles => Eurostar to St Pancreas - newly(ish) rebuilt station in London. Not the most convenient one; but hey I got a return ticket for 99 euros from my house (more or less) to London.

Compared with airline travel the total travel time isn't that much different considering you're meant to hang about for 2 hours before your flight at Schiphol... and then get treated with less respect than a dead pig by some airline... and then end up where all the cheap flights end up in the worst airport in the world - C**TROW - only to take another 2 hours getting into central London if you ignore the most expensive train ride in Northern Europe (C**TROW EXPRESS) which also ends up at another equally useless station Paddington...

Grrrrrrrrr - rant over!

With any luck I'll have time in Brussles to get some nice chocolate to enjoy in relative comfort as Eurostar does its "you feel like you are on a rollerskate" trick as you get shot out of the tunnel like angry puss from a teenager's zit.

It didn't used to be like that - the English side was depressingly slow - but I've heard that they go fast all the way now on new track. It should be good.

Wow learning to fly - is the instrument bit for night flying too?

I'm still here from time to time, although I don't spend as much time here as I'd like.
