LARRY BIBLE IS THE MAN !!!

Thank you Larry for the Mechanical Steering Box. A surprise gift is in the mail to you this weekend. Who said contacting one's elected officials -- all of them -- and contacting the USPMGIG (that's the U.S.Post Master General I.G.) would not get the USPS moving quicker than its present pace on par with evolution ? Although there are a few billion reasons to abolish the USPS, I just added one more ! Got my mechanical steering box today in the mail ! Here's a snappy or two and a salute to Larry Bible !

I tried to coax that lovely from Larry a few years back for my autocross car. We never got together somehow. I was hoping he would pull it for me but it never happened for me. Perhaps because as he said it has a slower ratio.

Yes Tom, I told Greazzer many times that I didn't think he would be happy with it. It's like steering a '56 Buick with no power steering and about 50 tuns lock to lock. That's why I refused to be paid for it. He insisted it's what he wanted and I hope it works out for him.

Tom, I hope you don't take this as some sort of insult or anything. I just couldn't imagine this working out on an autocross car and at the time I was going to charge you for it. I couldn't charge you for it with a clear conscience while firmly believing it would not get the job done.

Hey guys ....

I will post my results, perceptions, and opinion about mechanical steering. If Larry is right and I hate it, then I will send it back to Larry or to whom he desiginates. But, if I like it ... it will be part of the Phoenix Project posted on STD! Thanks again !!!!

Now -- the magic and beauty .... Larry needs to get a full refund on his postage. Priority Mail is 3-5 days and not 5 WEEKS !!!! So, it should actually be free postage at this point. Another govenment success story, so yes a thing of beauty.

USPS is awful. I have had items lost, stranded, show up RTS, and all for more than UPS. To top it off, (story time) I was behind a USPS truck last week and a pallet flew off it and I could not avoid it since we were on the highway...I went over it in my brand new car. I was not a happy camper. It came from either under the trailer itself or in between the cab and trailer. I am glad it didn't come through the windshield.

Yep, that's my impression of them as well. The brown truck has NEVER missed getting me what is shipped to me. So far they're batting a thousand over the last 40 years or so.
