TheDon bought a new toy

Just picked this thing up. It's the nicest, most expensive, most accurate, best torque wrench I have ever purchased.

It does 5-100 ft lbs, in-lb's, NM's, and angle....

Care to guess what I paid?

I also picked this stuff up too

(won this for free on a tool blog (toolguyd.com)

Go on, take a stab at what I paid for all of this stuff

I love those locking adjustable channel locks. The pair I have has jaws that are slightly different than yours but they are a quantum leap above standard adjustable pliers.

$150.

Close.... $180 for everything

Knipex makes some nice stuff. I'm selling most of the stuff except the pliers and box wrenches. I'm on the fence about selling the torque wrench but I can make some nice money off of it.

The torque wrench retails for $459 plus tax on the tool truck... I got everything for a massive steal.

Not bad! I use a beam style torque wrench for heavy stuff and an in-lb craftsman click for the rest.

Those knipex tools are crazy good. I just picked up a pair of electricians pliers made by them a little while ago. Absolute precision in those tools. I drool for some of the wrenches....all made in Germany.

I am probably just going to sell the thing anyways. It's incredibly awesome and has features I would never need. My harbor freight torque wrench works fine for torquing wheel lugs. I'd use this if I was installing head bolts and fasteners where I need the angle torque too

Torque-ing lugs is pretty much standard procedure in most quality shops. I use a torque stick to run them down with the impact and follow up with the torque wrench. Having used the digital style torque wrench before, I'm not a fan of it. The beep and buzz do little to limit excessive torque and you will find in real world use you will get a variance of values, accurately measured of course.

I'm going to check it against a recently calibrated wrench. Snap On charges $30 to calibrate anyways.
