Not at all...just that it seems most people don't care all that much...and I know I really don't.

The game may be on at my sister's house, but my interest won't extend beyond the commercials, as those are usually pretty good.

Though I'll happily pass on Bloomberg's BS ad.

Next to New Year's Day, it's the best day of the year to go fishing. NO crowds. Modern American Football is the single most mind numbingly boring sport ever imagined. Steroid pumped cattle butting heads. Six seconds of action and 5 minutes of head scratching, replays, ref calls ad nauseum.
Pass.

I don't know about that - there's a few that I'd argue that are equally, if not more, coma-inducing to spectators, as is football - baseball, tennis, cricket, NASCAR racing in it's present form (as George Carlin said, it's always the same five rednecks that end up winning), and (choke, gag) GOLF!!!

Who was the sick SOB that first came up with the idea that it would somehow be "entertainment" to televise golf tournaments?

That's an idea for a whole new thread - vote for what you would consider to be the most boring spectator sport of all time.

OTOH, as an adolescent teenage male, there was one sport that I could watch for hours completely enthralled - female gymnastics. Colonel Sanders would have been proud.

We will go to a superbowl party. It will be the first pro game I have watched. I do like to watch the replays on the sports news shows though. The running backs and receivers are some of the most amazing athletes in sports.

I don't care much who wins but I suppose I will root for the Giants since Eli is Peyton's brother (the local Colts connection).

We usually leave the party after half time and I watch the second half while the Mrs. goes to bed or otherwise amuses herself.

Go at 7p. Place should be a ghost town.

Tom, you must have seen the Bengal flip into the end zone? Don't have to be a football fan to appreciate that one.

I don't really care who wins, just as long as the score matches up with my squares....

Care to bet on that? I have $50 extra that I won from Brian Carlton.
