Santorum seems to be obsessed with vaginal and anal law.

I am sure Santorum knows how the Constitution works. What he is better on is that the average Republican voter does not.

Also every Republican I have talked to keeps telling me we need a 'strong' leader who will tackle problems head-on. They also fear any court system since it can overrule their Deal Leader.

Santorum is playing to the crowd. The problem with this is that this crowd is getting smaller everyday and only represents about 30% of the US as it is.

I just might vote for him in the Primary. Then, in November, when Obama wins by about 95% of the vote, this country can start moving forward again.

If Obama wins re-election, I think 30% of the population's heads will explode.

Right now with what is being offered in the Republican party I am thinking Obama's re-election is a slam dunk; he does not need to do a thing.

Gotta wonder if the dems have been contributing to the political coffers of Newty and Sanatorium...

It is discouraging to see such polarizing, extreme nitwits garner as much support as they seem to do. Where are all the statesmen and reasonable, rational political candidates? I know a lot of fairly well-educated people who support extremists on both the left and the right end of the political spectrum. Most of the political candidates in recent memory seem to be almost cartoonish they are so extreme.
We need serious-minded, reasonable, rational people in positions of power, but they seem to be in particularly short supply these days.

Seems like you may be describing Barack Obama...

Nah, Romney's got the line on that angle - with a title well above dictator:

Quote:
Romney avoids mentioning it, but Smith ran for president in 1844 as an independent commander in chief of an “army of God” advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government in favor of a Mormon-ruled theocracy. Challenging Democrat James Polk and Whig Henry Clay, Smith prophesied that if the U.S. Congress did not accede to his demands that “they shall be broken up as a government and God shall damn them.” Smith viewed capturing the presidency as part of the mission of the church. He had predicted the emergence of “the one Mighty and Strong” — a leader who would “set in order the house of God” — and became the first of many prominent Mormon men to claim the mantle.
Quote:
Out of Smith’s national political ambitions grew what would become known in Mormon circles as the “White Horse Prophecy” — a belief ingrained in Mormon culture and passed down through generations by church leaders that the day would come when the U.S. Constitution would “hang like a thread as fine as a silk fiber” and the Mormon priesthood would save it.
Mitt done been groomed for the position most all his life.

But no, really - it's just the dang aa-rabs what be scary.

The White Horse Prophecy

Well, Mitt Romney got the nod from Donald Trump, but Rick Santorum has gotten the endorsement of Metallica/Megadeath's guitarist, Dave Mustaine!

Definitely agree with the 3rd party sentiment.

Must be BIG bunch of lib's scared of him since they are throwing rocks at him before even shows any hope of being nominated! Given the pathetic state of th economy under B.O. I suppose attacking the opposition and stirring up class warfare is obviously their strategy.

Larry, in case you haven't noticed, it's not the Democrats that are afraid of Santorum, Paul or Newt . . . it's the GOP. I suspect that you know that too. The GOP PACs are spending money like no tomorrow against each other.
