Ford F-150 acting odd.
When my truck is idling the engine revs from 800 rpms to 1100 rpms every 8 seconds. Any thoughts?

My thought is that a piston and connecting rod have already exited through the side of the block and idling is no longer a concern.

2. What engine? 3. How many miles on it? 4. What modifications have been done? 5. What maintenance has been done/deferred? 6. How often is it driven? The devil is in the details...and you really haven't provided very many.
