Life in Singapore

So I have a bad shoulder due to previous injury, that gives me constant pain.
How I deal with it is #1.>Ignore the pain. #2.> Go to massage studio frequently.

I should set up the relationship between my massuse and I , so that everyone can understand the second part of my story a little better.

Opon my first visit about 4 months ago I was asked by the receptionist if I prefer a male , or a female massuese, I replyed that I prefer a male.
So then I was introduced to Majib. Majib is a big Malaysian guy-barrel chested, weighs in at about 260. I thought to myself " Ah-he will do just fine'.

So on our first encounter Majib compliments me on my decision to visit the studio for a relaxing massage, at which point I told Majib,'I am not here to relax-in fact I need you to do some roadwork on me'. he frowns, not completely understanding. I tell him that I have a lot of scar tissue that needs to be broken down so to loosen everything up and restore bloodflow.

Ah, so now a slight smile from Majib, and we get underway.

My special program reguires Majib to stretch me, put his elbows into the muscles, and otherwise look like he is hurting me..all amidst my grunts and groans, and his heavy breathing.

Seque to a scene that happened last friday.

I am halfway thru my session, when a lady came in for a relax massage-it was her first visit.
After about 10 minutes of her seeing Majib take me thru my paces, and hearing me tell him 'Harder'..this poor woman started to cry.
Her massuese ask her what the problem is..she replyed " I cannot stand watching that man get tortured, please do not do this to me".

It would have sounded way different if you chose a female masseuse who was strong enough to fulfill your requirements for more blood flow

I wonder why Majib was smiling too

Trust me..there are plenty 'Happy Ending' parlors here

Perhaps Majib has a sadistical nature, and is more than happy to oblige me.:

In that part of the world, I would think that you should be able to find many skilled acupuncturists, whose work will eclipse that of a masseuse.
I would imagine most clinics offer a combination of acupuncture and massage, but the massage would be delivered by someone who does not get involved in the happy ending kind of work.

Bottom line, see a healer, not a whore.

You pay a healer to fix you.

You pay a whore to go away after your fix.

I have tried acupuncture, but it was only a temporary fix.

Actually in this friday situation I am more concerned about the woman who was psycologically traumatised by watching Majib's little shop of horrors.

Makes me wonder if she will ever re-visit that parlor.

My experience with acupuncture has been extremely positive and very long lasting, whereas massage typically lasts only for a day or two.

In Boston several years ago, a chiropractor was going to take a long vacation, so he arranged for an agency to send a replacement chiro, who was licensed in another part of the state, but not competition for the Boston chiro.

On the replacement's first day, he performed a lumbar adjustment on the patient and the patient jumped off the table and screamed "What are you doing to me? Are you trying to kill me?" The replacement chiro had reviewed the guy's chart and seen that he and gotten at least 20 of the lumbar adjustments before.

Then he noticed that the patient was being seen for a low back work comp injury and surmised that this guy had never had an actual chiropractic adjustment at any time.

Life in Singapore?

Sucks.

That is all I know when I lived there as an expat. Man-made beach, as flat as a pan-cake. 'Fine' City. Do what the govt thinks is right for you, not what you think is right for yourself.

Massage - never tried it in Singapore but many times when I visited China.

Everything probly went south for you the moment you labled yourself , or let yourself be labled an ex-pat.

I dont know what exposure you had..but I only find flat as a pancake areas where they have done land distribution.

In all honesty, I prefer Thailand to Singapore.

I've never been to China. Judging from how the PRC's act here..not sure if I want to go.

I think the hardest adjustment for a Westener to make here is the restrictions on mobility. For the first year, my wife had serious doubts that I would be suitable for living here.

It too some getting used to, in terms of, lets say you want to go to Mc Donalds. In the states, you just pull into Mikkydees parking lot, park the car, go inside- grab your meal and go.
Not so here

Ah yes...McDelivery..place your order on-line, and 30 minutes later your meal is brought to your door by a wild-eyed Malaysian scooter jockey.

One time I used this service just to feed a hamburger to my dog

Delivery kid just looked at me kinda funny.
