No matter how short the flight...

this is why you should always pack at least a change of underwear.

Co-pilot error causes ANA plane to plunge - 29Sep2011 - YouTube

The reconstruction graphic from the flight data recorder is pretty dramatic, especially late in the report.

Another report that is factually incorrect.

Another fail by the media.

They fail 100% of the time when it is related to a topic of which I am familiar.

What's 10,000 meters between friends?

I mostly liked the reconstruction clips.

Either way, I certainly would not have wanted to be on that plane.

10K meters to the average moron means nothing............thankfully for the broadcast media.

If you were on it............you could really consider yourself very fortunate. Most airliners don't recover from a 135 degree roll.

Not an uncommon occurrence. If we all know they fail when we know the actual story, why do we ( as a culture) give them any credibility? It defies logic.

You would be astounded at how many people give them 100% credibility.

It only defies logic if the individual is capable of making the determination that the facts given are faulty.

Most are not.

Japanese TV News

Having spent 3 years as a Producer for Tokyo Broadcasting System's NY Bureau (Channel 6 in Tokyo), I can attest to the typical innaccuracies of Japanese Television Research and the absolute belief that the Japanese Government Agencies are NEVER wrong.
I did coverage on the JAL B747 incident when the Vertical Stabilizer (Rudder) broke off due to a faulty repair of the aft pressure bulkhead. All the Japanese TV wanted to do was find fault with a NON Japanese company, dispite the fact that Boeing did the repair as designed by the JAL Engineers which was different than the originial Boeing fix (replace the entire rear pressure bulkhead) and Boeing NEVER signed off on the work. All to cover up a JAL Pilots error and Tailstrike on takeoff/landing.
Also the huge cover up of the placement of Sarin Gas on several ANA and JAL planes by Aum Shynriko cult. This has NEVER been mentioned outside Japan and even in Japan the reports have been wiped from all Master Broadcast tapes. (Shows how Japan cannot secure its own airports much less the planes that use them).

Anyway, this is typical of Japan TV. Lots of finger pointing and little/no factual evidence.

Sounds exactly like France. NFW will they take any responsibility for the fact that three morons flew a perfectly functional A330 right into the Atlantic Ocean. Must blame Airbus for this accident.

When the United States had two idiots fly a B-757 into a mountain near Cali, there was nothing more to say. The industry was incredulous at the lack of any professionalism and the deviation from training, but there was no blame placed anywhere but where it belonged.
