Thumbs up World's only Ferrari motorbike for sale

Ferrari has built many exclusive products over the years but none are as rare as this - a one-off Ferrari-badged motorbike built as a tribute to Enzo.

Dang.

The sad thing is, since it's a one-off, for most of the important things you'll never be able to find parts for it, which relegates it more to "art" than vehicle.

As pretty as their cars are, though, the bike is rather less-so.

I don't think that parts are going to be a problem. Under photo 3 is mentioned that the bike is built by MV Agusta, they still make some very expensive and distinctive bikes.
I like the comment under photo 7:
"The bike's creator famously said of it: 'The noise is like a Messerschmitt chasing a Spitfire.'"

Now the question is : Would you like it on the road, especially if it makes the estimate £250 K (around $400K)

The styling cues from the Testarossa and the rectangular slots from F1 312 car are interesting, but not enough to carry the bike's cafe racer design. The cylinder head should have been red.

Ferrari has a history with MV Augusta:

"The F4 engine is a liquid cooled inline four cylinder (4-stroke) with two overhead camshafts (DOHC), 16 radial valves, electronic multipoint injection, induction discharge electronic ignition and following capacity variants: 749.5 cc, 998 cc and 1078 cc. The engine was derived from the 1990–1992 Ferrari Formula One engine. Early in the design process Ferrari engineers assisted in the development of the engine. MV (Cagiva at the time) quickly deviated from the Ferrari design, but they kept one important feature, the radial valves. The F4 engine is unique in the sense that it is the only radial valved motorcycle engine currently in production."

Yep, that's some of those "important parts" you won't be able to find...at least not for less than a bucket full of cash.

MV Augusta makes some excellent bikes. I have a Ducati ST2 and there is a great shop in SF (Munroe Motors in the Mission District) that carries Ducati, MV, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and some others. It's like porn to visit there.

But this is the kind of thing that is just art and a museum piece. If it's ever ridden, it will be very rare and very little. Kind of a shame, but that's art.
