Odd laws Reguarding Sex
Has to make you think. they had to HAVE a reason to pass these laws.......
•In Tremonton, Utah, women aren't allowed to get frisky in the back of an ambulance without being slapped with a sexual misdemeanor charge. Interestingly, there is no such law for men. •Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. prohibit erections that are visible under clothing in public. However, there's not enough room in penitentiaries to accommodate every 7th grade boy in Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C., so... •In Alexandria, Minnesota, a man isn't allowed to have sex with his wife immediately after eating garlic, onions, or sardines. And some additional bizarre laws from Sodomy.org (best URL ever!): •In Ames, Iowa, after a guy has sex with you and you're lying in bed together, he's not allowed to take more than three sips of beer. •Bozeman, Montana prohibits all sexual activity on the front lawn of a house after sundown, but only in the nude, which means throw on some socks and you won't get arrested. •Connorsville, Wisconsin prohibits a man shooting off his gun while his female partner is having an orgasm. •My personal favorite: In Florida it is illegal for single, divorced, or widowed women to parachute on Sunday afternoons. •It's illegal for a woman to strip off her clothing while standing in front of a man's picture in Oxford, Ohio. •In Willowdale, Oregon no man may curse while having sex with his wife or her mother

When I lived in PA, there was a prohibition against a certain number of women living in a house without a man, since it was automatically considered a bordello.

Yes...but is it legal to not enforce these laws? I mean, if the state isn't going to enforce them, then shouldn't cities pass laws that require the police to enforce the law.
I know laws get ignored all the time, but is it legal to ignore them? < |

In fact, I'll suggest that the police enforce nothing unless two conditions apply: 1) Revenue is needed and they have been given a quota for vehicle and traffic laws. 2) A citizen complains about another citizen violating the law and, by some miracle, that same citizen is still violating the law when the authority goes to investigate. You can commit murder in this country and, unless you are a complete moron, you will not be convicted of it. They do a bit of investigation under this crime, but without prima facia evidence (which is very difficult to obtain), you walk. I am absolutely positive that I can kill any random person in the US and not be charged with the crime (excepting those with SS protection, obviously). |

Yeah this rule screws over a lot of sorority houses, again interestingly the rule doesn't apply to men like most of these laws.

Public nudity is against the law in Texas if someone sees you and is offended by it. If they are not offended there is no crime.
This law was passed by a lot of do-gooders in Travis County, Texas, in order to shut down a nude beach on Lake Travis known as Hippy Hollow. There were several areas of the lake where nudity was common, but this one was a County owned and maintained public park. After the law passed the plan for its' backers was to go there, be offended, and have everyone present arrested. But the County put a big sign at the entrance of Hippy Hollow saying if nudity offends you then don't go pass this point. The law did shut down nudity at all the other beaches, though, because the country would not put up the same sign. The place is now so popular that Travis County now charges a fee for entry, and they make so much off this one park it pays for the entire county park system. |

Oral sex was not legal in Tarrant County, Texas, for many, many years. It might still be unlawful.
It was legal in the rest of Texas, though. |

I'm not sure but I think my mom had a book called "The Trenton Pickle Ordinance and Other Bonehead Legislation". The book was filled with these old archaic laws. Funny read if you get the chance.
As for nudity, I was under the impression it was not against the law for a woman to be topless in Austin TX ...... Road trip anyone?
