And she was telling me that her brother said that he was a pilot, and that the airlines hired a Christian and a non christian pilots be on the plane in case The Rapture happened. I think she said that he was a pilot in the late 50's. Is there any truth to this statement?

Possibly. Did an elderly woman really come into the shop today or not? If so, then there's some truth to your statement, if not, then you're making it all up.

Regarding the other part: absolutely. Airline HR departments and schedulers have St Peter on speed dial, in fact, I think he's an obligatory reference. That way they know who's going to be raptured or not. They need to make sure there's a non-believer flying the plane to avoid all the souls as they transit controlled airspace without a clearance. They wouldn't want someone to get taken out by a jet on the way up to heaven; it just wouldn't be very Christian of them.

First of all my friend, If I say something on this forum, you can bet your life that it is true. If i'm stretching the truth, I will put several of these smilies.

I take no offense to what you asked me here. The elderly woman told me this, and I thought I would just pass it along. If you think that I make up stuff just to post it, just ask anyone who has met me in person and they will tell you that I don't make up stuff. There was this guy that posts here sometimes that when I told him that I had 42 light switches in my house and could turn off a certain light from three different switches. He didn't believe me. This poster drove almost 400 miles one way to a MB car show that I hosted at my Home. He no sooner got out of his car then he asked me to prove the light switch claim. First I showed him the one light that could be turned off from three different switches, The we started counting the light switches. And when we got done, there was low and behold 43 light switches. What I'm trying to say is that if I say it, it's true.

I know it's not polite to scoff at others delusions, but it would be a hard to keep a straight face if they actually believed what they were saying.

There's nothing christian about the management of the cut throat airline business.
