AutoZone European Fuses 5/7/12
Maybe worthy of checking out. While at Autozone yesterday their clearance bin had the 5 packs of European Fuses (NOT OEM). They did not have a clearance price marked on them just the normal $5.99. I asked the manager what the price was - he scanned and they came up "Discontinued" $00.00 for price. He tossed them back and says Free and I asked how many I could have. Take them all - so I did.

Does this mean that you won't be able to buy the "bullet" fuses for pre ~1990 Euro cars in Autozone any more? Greeeeeat.

Not too crazy about the non-OEM brand of buss-style fuses. They don't seem to hold up for the ratings they are advertised.
I did a full replacement with the AutoZone fuses years ago, but saved the old OEM ones anyway. A number of heavy draw accessories would blow the AZ fuses, but worked just fine when I replaced them with the OEM fuses. |

Over the years I have given quite a few buss fuses out to distressed motorist, not a bad collection to have in the glove box for charity. |
