Fuses, Relay, Trailer Light connection for the wiring goes to a T-splitter. I'd try there first

Multi Function Switch

The MFS has a tendency to heat up at the connection under the wheel cover. Pull the cowling under the steering wheel and look for a white multi wire plug that is now mostly Brown from heat/scorch.

You can do an easy fix by buying a box of Spade connectors from Auto parts store or Radio Shack and cut off the plug end on either side and crimping/soldering on the spade male/females and plugging together. There is usually enuff loose wire to do this.

Same desighn was used on Ranger and is a known issue.

If it is still under warranty there is a FoMoCo TSB on this.

One more thing, the brake light came on. Could that be caused this problem? :)

sounds like it. brake light on would seem like that is the case. I'd check the fuses etc first though. a little bit easer :)

The brake lights do work, it's just the turn signals. :)

Flasher relay possible then the MFS too I'd hazard a guess
