"People of Walmart" Will Love These...

....a butt-steered Segway -

Honda creates a butt-steered Segway with the Uni-Cub rolling stool | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos

LOL, someone in the comments already asked the obvious - if you, umm, have to "pass gas", is that going to throw you out of control and crash you into a wall?

I cut a corner too close in Walmart a few days ago and ran straight into the side of a scooter than was coming down the other side. Bounced off the fat lady's sow-sized thigh. She didn't appear to even feel it. Kinda fun.

I believe that "vehicle" is far more advanced than you give it credit for. Clearly, Honda has taken the minute sensations of force via the butt and translated it into a direction. That's no small achievement.

Such a device would be extremely valuable in any large industrial environment where the speed limit of 3 mph.............governed by the individual............isn't efficient.

If this vehicle can double that speed, the increase in efficiency for each employee who must traverse long distances in their daily tasks would be fantastic.

How will people with "Noassatol" disease drive these things? I see a discrimination suit being filed.

Dang, 53 years old and now I discover I've had a "disease" all my life.

Can you get disability from SS and the VA for said disease?

From what I've seen dealing with the Navy, the VA, and the govt in general, I wouldn't at all be surprised.

For all the "sea lawyers" that really researched how to "play" the system, there was an obscure medical condition - atrophy of certain muscles in the legs and back, caused by constantly walking on steel decks for years - that the VA would give a 10% disability rating for.

I knew guys that actually filed for and got that disability rating - just so they could get 10% of thier monthly retirement check tax-free. Big whoop.

VA doctor that did my disability rating physical seemed genuinely surprised, that when he told me based on my medical records and their examination I had no qualifying conditions and was getting a 0% disability rating, that I was actually HAPPY about it. Told him I didn't give a crap about whether or not the money was taxed - the main thing was I was in good health, would live a long life and get to ENJOY getting that monthly stipend. Guess he was too used to people trying to game the system.

When my late Father got to costing the VA too much money, they just let him die in 1994.
