I finially got my hands on an Aye phone 4. Tried upgrading from Ios 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 and now my phone is locked in a recovery mode... I was recovering my data when it wen to update the OS and now Itunes cant see it. How do I do a Hard Reset on the thing or can I get this to mosey on with it's update somehow?

Send it back to Apple.

Or turn your computer on and off six times, turn the device on and off seven times, remove and reinstall iTunes five times, and then send it back to Apple...

Did you try simultaneously holding the sleep/wake button (oval button on top right of case) and the home button (round button below screen) until it reboots? It's kind of Apple's version of control+alt+delete.

Burn the thing and buy a real mobile device aka Android.

I tried Android. Diddnt really like it, might have been the setup on the phone, but android is just not for me. I use the Iphones because I can do some of my media work on the fly Ie edit videos etc. I dont go out for the newest and the best. I just use what works for my needs and stick with it...

I got the phone to finally restore, I moved the cord to a new USB outlet, Rebooted the computer and Itunes was able to finish off installing the OS, and I'm working on getting all my pictures back (all 1900 of them... ) off of the iCloud service (handy since I wasnt able to dock for 7 months)

I'll agree to Disagree with you on what phone is better. each person has their own tastes and what works best for them. it works for me, so until something works better for me, I'll stick with this one.
