Perhaps they're better off being suspended. And we wonder why Americans are obese -- bet the principal is a fat crap and is jealous that they can ride a bike and he can't.

Oh, Michigan.... that explains it.
 How in hell could she have not known about this - it was obviously a prearranged event, with police escort and even the mayor attending handing out doughnuts. And from the comments, besides calling it a prank, she even went so far as to badmouth the students, their parents concerning their parenting skills, even a snide remark towards the mayor. Says she later apologized, that she was concerned about "safety". Bullcrap. She's a control freak, and pissed off that she wasn't in on the free publicity or asked to participate in organizing the event.

Well now, most of us droopydrawers are aware the Constitution protects our right to be stupid, and to exercise our right thereof but some morons feel entitled to take that slender definition to it's illogical extreme.
Nobody ever said people always strive to achieve equitable and balanced decisions based upon knowledge{or lack thereof}. Hell, without dissatisfaction there would be no progress. Conversely without stupid complacency there would be no humour.
