Miss the 70s era boxer motor. I see a feable attempt at maintaining that in some of todays models, but for me it doesn't work.

They're missing out on catching some old dogs with that style of bike.

they still build the boxer motor but the head is oil cooled now because it needs to be to be able to contol the combustion process enough to pass emissions. they call it the oelhead.

Its a lovely bike but a lot heavier than my old 72 r60/5 which weighed 376 IIRC. Its still a lightweight for its size and displacement compared to the less sophisticated bikes.
