wow, passions are running high, how did things get so serious?

Pretty soon people will be taking plane trips to places like denver to meet less than cordial internet folk in person in parking lots to discuss youtube videos about 30 year old 500 dollar cars, in a frank discussion of personal values.

I thought the first sign that things were getting out of control was when people start using the DMCA to get other people's posts/videos deleted (or, in the case you mention, restored) ...

As someone who disagrees with about half of what the left or right say, it's sometimes hard to tell who's trolling for who. Almost need a scorecard to keep track.

Some folks are better at walking that fine line than others, but it's a fine line nonetheless.

thank you for making this my favorite post of today.

Poor Larry, I think hes pretty entertaining, apart from not seriously debating what he posts, but thats also a known trait, so why be concerned about it?

After all, i think its a mistake to come onto OD and be too serious, otherwise its super easy to ignore and simply not read the threads that you know will be silly. I don't think the whole thing is that big a deal.

As Carleton illustrates, there are far more interesting things out there to lovingly cherish.

If we take it too seriously, then things stop being fun

Indeed. Perhaps on account of my precarious health I've always been painfully aware of the fact that life is too foolishly inconsequential an affair to be taken seriously.
Those who do so strike me as self-absorbed fools of the first water who merit no heed nor countenance, mere
Y scorn.
Like my Gramps said " You all lookin'fer sympathy? Foind it in the dictionary 'twixt syphilis and *****.

If this feud continues, will there be a special on it on the History Channel in about 100 years??

I do not think its a matter of not.doing anything. I can't stand him His ignorane and hatred is infuriating. Having said that, i look at him like the KKK or skinheads. While they have nothing relevant to contribute they do have the right to spew their stupidity unfettered. That's not to say I will not argue and dispute their stupidity.

Personally I don't give a flying f**k off a rolling donut, but I love watching the reaction to particularly his and other members inflammatory posts. The guy does it for a reason, to get a rise out of the hooples and fools who take the bait right from the hook he so crudely sets. It ain't great theatre but it's fun to watch.

I hope he never gets banned, it's the folks who reply to his posts in all seriousness who are the crazier.
