OLD Air Compressor help needed

Computer locks up when I try to download pictures--I'll try tomorrow from a different computer.

I just got an old air compressor, cast iron, beast. Must weigh over 100 pounds.
three cylinder, inline, single stage. 3 1/4"bore X 3" stroke, 16" diameter flywheel. Beast

Looks like a casting date of Jan 23, 1956.

Tag at the oil level sight glass says manufactured by Tecumseh, Model RA

Anyone have any leads on where I might parts and information. I probably want to replace the rings just because of their age.
I need to know at what speed I should run this.
Any information would be appreciated.

Don't know about compressors but I do know Tecumseh is out of business.
May be parts still around.

Could be a refrigerant compressor. While Tecumseh is out of their original small engine business, I believe they may still be in the compressor business, or that division was sold when the economy tanked in 2008.

Hardly, with a 74 cu inch displacement, I don't think that is a refrigerant compressor, but you are correct Tecumseh did make refrigerant compressors, too.

Dudesky,
Thanks, but I've seen those sites--most refer to A/C compressors.

One of them actually links to my asking the same questions on another forum--pretty funny.
