Had to pull out the wrenches...

To reassemble this:

Wasn't too bad, though I have not had to lift a wrench in 8 months! Honestly, it felt pretty good to spin a wrench. :)

My E and ML have been treating me very well! Really haven't had to pop the hood on either of them to do any serious work since purchase.

Working on things "Made in Italy" tends to become a necessity. ;)

Afterwards, remember to lock the doors in case you're attacked.

Oh, and that fluid in the reservoir looks pretty dark . . .

Attacked...? Maybe by a flock of angry CHPs...

Ill check the fluid when I get home. Have some other things to do, so sadly, this will be on the back burner... :(

Why do you have the plenum off? Maintenance or repair?

A little of both...

The oil pressure sender died... Car read that it had zero oil pressue. Pretty scary - some of these engines have issues with failing oil pumps.

Turned out to be a flakey sending unit. Tested with a mechanical gauge, and pressure was right on spec. :)

Maserati FSM calls to remove the intake manifold to replace the sender. Replaces some hose clamps and vacuum lines that looked a little on the worn side while it was all apart.

Okay Rock, just keep teasing.:)

We're waiting for full body shots!

I'm glad it turned out to only be the sensor.
