Congratulations on 100th Round of Golf!

B.O. has completed his 100th round of golf since becoming president. I suppose Axelrod has changed his mind since 1994. A little hypocrisy maybe:

Flashback: Axelrod called Bush

Kind of interesting that the media has given our current President a free ride after hammering his predecessor for much less golf. A little media bias perhaps?

Congratulations on the 100th rant against the President without providing anything of substance.

I find the hypocrisy of Axelrod notable, especially since he is so close to BHO. That in itself is substance.

How is this a big deal? Are presidents not allowed to recreate? What if he'd listened to his 100th Marvin Gaye album, or eaten his 100th arugula salad, would that be sneering news too?
You're really struggling for jabs Larry. Really struggling. It's kind of sad really.

I hear its fairly good exercise.

Back when I played golf (that is a pretty gross exaggeration of terms) I used to get a lot of extra exercise when wiffing at the ball.

I reread my post and I can't find anything that appears to be a rant. It was simply a statement of current event fact, a link to related material and a brief comment.

Please describe the portion that is a rant. Even if it WERE a rant, there was nothing AGAINST the President. There was implied criticism of Axelrod and the press, but please point out any criticism of the President that is in the post.

Have a great day!

approximately 208 weekends in 4 years of presidency, thats a round of golf every 2 weeks or so. Big deal. Some people are obsessed with that game. I just visited my uncle for about 2 days this weekend with the GF, and I think he played golf at least 3 times, and murderously discussed his putting game endlessly during dinners.

If Obama starts to discuss his golf handicap during a press conference, then Ill have a problem with his recreational activities.

From his quotes in the linked article, it seems Axelrod's main problem with it was making statements about the economy during golf.

“Bush tastelessly did it, often from the ninth hole, and from the cigar boat and other places,” Axelrod said.
Added the adviser: “The impression you got was that he was out of touch.”

x2, this is really are silly avenue of even indirect attack of Obama.

example-

Presidential vacations: How does Obama compare? - CBS News

as of august last year (quote from the link)-

"So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch.
"

You don't like the guy Larry, we get it. But attack him for real stuff, not for how much he plays golf compared to Bush, because as an example of whether he's on the job or not, its meaningless. Bush may have played less golf, but he was on vacation nearly 3 times as much.

Show of hands. Anyone here believe that a POTUS actually takes a vacation like the rest of us? Drops it all and bails. No disturbances from the real world?

Good grief.

According to this article the republican presidents have adopted an European life style, good for them.
