Thank You Firefighters and EMS

I don't know if we have any EMS personnel or Fire Fighters on our forum but if so, I want to say THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication.

You are welcome from a 13 year Volunteer Firefighter/ First responder. Did you have a recent experience?

I've never had a serious experience where they saved the bacon for me, but over the years I've called the fire department twice in marginal situations. Both times I was almost apologetic to them for calling them in a situation that didn't turn serious.

BOTH times they made it clear that they want to be called even in a questionable situation because they want to be rolling as soon as possible. They were pro's about it all the way.

Thanks to everyone who does this kind of work!

I was a Volunteer Fire Fighter in my town for many years. I QUIT the local Fire department after seeing how they rally acted behind the scenes. They acted like they were Gods in town. The fact was that in our town, we might have had 4 or 5 fires a year. I FULLY respect Fire Fighters across the World for what they do, I just don't respect the small FD in my little town. Self Righteous Attitude come to mind. If they had to fight a REAL fire, they would probably chit themselves.
