It's a general problem with authoritarian law-and-order types. Thinking and reasoning is always trumped by conformity to authority. There's no need to think if you have an authority.

You must not have read all the thread. Take up this issue with The Swede. He is the one that wants the subforum. I was just simply backing him up on it.

I have started similar threads here before with the full intention of talking about the car project or whatever that I posted about. Problem was, once they saw it was me posting, it was time to pile on and ignore the subject of the thread.

Not unless there's a sep sections. I throw in a car related topic once in a while, but they mostly go unnoticed. Probably not that interesting to political people.

Again...

You said that you should be respected because you are an engineer. I, too, have an engineering degree. I've designed automation equipment for the automotive industry, as well as built what I designed. Same goes for certain tooling in the Aerospace industry.

What makes being an engineer something so special that you should be respected?

I'm sorry...I have more respect for my local garbage collector than I would you right now.
