Any auto AC experts here?
I got a replacement suction hose for a Ford Escape. It is the correct Motorcraft part # for the year and model. It is exactly the same as the original except the original has a muffler about the size of a lemon on it and the replacement doesn't. I assume they know what they are doing, but why would they "change their mind" about that? I have read on AC forums that it is OK to do that "about 99% of the time". Specifically they were talking about cutting a muffler out of a line and soldering a tube in its place.
