The part is probably lost in the field somewhere. BTDT! You lose something off of a tractor while in the field, unless it is something that lets you know right away, it's almost impossible to search acres and acres for a small part.

Back in the winter I was using a log chain for, of all things, dragging some logs. When done I pitched it on the deck of the shredder. You guessed it, I went and shred several acres forgetting about the chain. It's out there somewhere.

I shred the pasture pretty high most of the year, so I don't think I'll pick it up, but I'm not betting on it.

Any way to tell which section of the engine the oil is coming from while the engine is running? The first thing that came to my mind was the IP access cover. You would get oil out of there if it were gone. It would be quite obvious to someone knowledgeable in the workings of engines. Has the IP been off lately? Maybe someone did not re-install the cover. Heck, it could be coming from a bad oil pressure switch. Gonna be hard to tell much about it from here without any more info.

The 35 came in diesel and gas. I've never seen one that didn't have a Perkins though.
