Dear old dad.

The likely 2012 Republican nominee has a personal history with civil rights issues. Romney's father, George, spoke out against segregation in the 1960s and as governor of Michigan toured his state's inner cities as race riots racked Detroit and other urban areas across the country. He went on to lead the Housing and Urban Development Department, where he pushed for housing reforms to help blacks.

The article specifically said that no monetary information was included. I believe it said that will be discussed today.

There's a very simple explanation. B.O. constantly shows how much he loves & enjoys spending someone elses money. The problem stems from his dillusion that it is HIS money. Of course, what money he is spending is BORROWED money.

Hmmm..... I can't find anything like that in what I wrote. I think your imagination is getting the best of you.

On NUMEROUS occasions on this forum I have pointed out that virtually ALL politicians in Washington care NOTHING about OUR money or OUR welfare. The ONLY thing that they care about is their own re election. Virtually ALL of them are perfectly happy to wash us all down the river and harm us in any way necessary as long as they can get re elected. They are nothing but a bunch of self centered slime balls.

Your precious B.O. is MOST DEFINITELY included in this group. In fact, I think he would have no problem being elected the Grand Poo Bah of this group.

Strange, your post (#4) didn't make any reference to all politicians, did it? Of course it didn't. If you had merely said what you now "explain" there would have been nearly universal agreement, however that's not what you posted.

Always got a fallback doesn't he? You should have known what he really meant. Pay attention.

It's another step in the division in this nation that Obama is working on.

Another interesting POV . . . begging the question . . . we were united as a nation, when? And what happened since?

I hear partisans say things like "socialism" or "class warfare" . . . as if these were novel topics in American society or that there are absolute wrongs and rights . . . I suppose it's more a symptom of how we've evolved into a "my side must win, the other side must lose" electorate.

Possibly, but even history shows that at that time there was much disagreement, debate and ill feelings about how the nation should function.

So now I'm required to post every possible combination of administrations/agencies/groups that my post might happen to apply to? You're a big boy, just don't read into it what is NOT there.

Of course, once you get it in for someone, then I suppose anything they write, you will interpret negatively so you can pitch a fit about it.

Bush committed $500,000,000,000 to Medicare Drug payments and Congress did not blink an eye or ask where the money was coming from.

Odd that no one on the right ever brings that up.

Say.... Did you know that when Bush created this program out of thin air the majority of those on Medicare voted Republican? Why, it was almost as if Bush was buying votes with money he borrowed from someone else.

And then modern Republicans wasted all of this Goodwill by ranting about how everyone needs to pay some form of Income Tax and that includes those freeloaders on Social Security, 34,000,000 of which currently pay no Income Tax.

I guess they don't talk about this anymore because someone pointed out to them that they just threw away 34,000,000 votes.

So a quick fix was needed, and that was Voter ID since a lot of Seniors don't have a Driver's License and now they can't vote!

HAH! Showed those old fogies a thing or two. Right?
